If you want to talk over skype, I'll break that thought pattern (free, obviously). You are interested in many of those things, but you were conditioned in some way (school, family, siblings?) to associate them with something you weren't smart enough to do or would somehow get penalized for liking.
This is a common pattern in the U.S. population, which is mostly anti-intellectual.
